It's All About Commitment

We have been answering a lot of questions at the salon about styling long hair, and also coloring from the drugstore shelves.

As far as the coloring goes, don't.  You might as well have an elementary school student fill in for you at the nuclear power plant.  See a professional! A bad "box color" can cost you two or three times more to fix than having it done by a professional in the first place.

On the subject of styling long hair, there's no magic potion or ceramic tourmaline blah-blah-blah that will make your hair look like the model on the cover of your favorite fashion magazine. It takes time, practice and the right advice on technique to get the results you're looking for. Go see someone who actually gives a damn.  Gimmicks are for amateurs; and for God's sake, cut your hair into something you can both manage and be confident in. Long hair styling has been my forte for the better part of my career. So I love it. Its been my experience, though, that most women hold onto their hair for the wrong reasons. Mostly because it's safe. Safe is for followers. Be that person who is making a statement about themselves that actually says something cool and interesting, or stop complaining that your hair never looks great.

It's all about commitment.

The Referral Program

Referrals are the best form of advertising for any business. Letting your brand of workmanship and customer service do the talking for you ensures a much needed sense of longevity to the relationships you work so hard to build.

Here at The Velvet Seven we have a great referral program, and it's simple!

If an existing client (and you know who you are) sends a new female client to us to receive at least a haircut and style, you will have a $20 credit toward your next service. For new male client referrals, you will receive a $10 credit. To be plain, it adds up quick. Referral credit is applied one time per referral.

So spread the word and start saving today!

Much Love

I would like to send a big thank you to all of my clients, past and present. Over the years I've worked with some great people, and they have been an incredible source of support, both professionally and personally. Without my clients, I would have no need for my own salon. The Velvet Seven is set up for the clients as well as hairdressers. However, I wanted to offer a place that is special. A place where anyone would be proud to go; and not just for the atmosphere, but for the pride we take in making clients our first priority. So thanks again for all of you who have helped make my life as full as it is.
